While commonly mistaken for the Mexican Independence Day, September 16, it actually marks a victorious militia battle over the French army who were trying to force a debt collection in 1862. Many Americans have exaggerated its significance, whether it had any personal meaning or not, and have turned the holiday into a reason to celebrate. The addition of 'Craft' to our name pays homage to many of the classic wooden boatbuilders who also used this extension as part of their company names. It turns out that once together as 'Barina Craft' you could stretch it out to say 'bar in a craft'. Since our signature bars for home are essentially contained within a watercraft cut in half, we feel pretty lucky about the coincidence:)

We tried to have our logo tell a story rather than be a symbol or just letters like so many others. Also wanted a cartoonish sort of look. How'd we do?
